Buzz Lightyear Astro Busters Visually stunning, Big Thunder tends to be a hit with the whole family, with the minimum height requirement being 40 inches. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is made all the more exciting with cascading waterfalls, dinosaur bones, and a rolling boulder that the train narrowly avoids! This ride takes place primarily outside, but there are some dark stretches as the train descends into the cavern. This ride takes guests back in time to the Californian Gold Rush, as the cart follows the track deep into the mine of Thunder Mountain. The rumble of the cars will inspire excitement for most kids, but it can be a little noisy for others! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Those who aren’t driving can admire the bank greenery and the Tomorrowland skyline. Bumpers on the front and rear ensure the safety of all passengers. Guests need to be at least 32 inches tall to drive an Autopia car. ![]() The comfortable padded seats can accommodate either 2 adults or 3 children. ![]() The track winds under bridges and makes occasional inclines. Autopia cars come with a steering wheel and gas pedal, allowing young guests to experience the thrill of an actual track race. AutopiaĪnother vintage attraction, Autopia, has satisfied kids’ race car driving dreams since the theme park opened in 1955. Guests of all heights are welcome on the Orbiter. The night sky makes the space adventure appear more realistic. With lots of glowing lights, this ride is best experienced in the evening. While the Astro Orbiter spins, an outer galaxy of planets comes to life. Guests can control the altitude of their rocket by pulling a lever. Guests get strapped into a two-person rocket, which rises and falls in height as the ride operates. The Astro Orbitor is one of the many spinning rides found in Disneyland Park, made unique by the views of Tomorrowland it offers. It is rightfully a centerpiece of Fantasyland and is also a California exclusive. Mostly a dark ride, the Alice in Wonderland covers two stories and also an outdoor area. Although a slow ride aimed at kids, the bright colors and music make it an entertaining experience for all. A caterpillar-shaped vehicle takes guests through Alice’s surreal world, with the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, and the Cheshire Cat making appearances along the way. If it’s not broken, why fix it? The Alice in Wonderland ride has been enchanting park-goers since 1958. After you open the locker, if you close it again and leave your things in you will have to pay. There are lockers to the left of this attraction. ![]() It is not scary, has no roller coaster type hills, and is strictly a fun, yet controlled experience on a river raft. Once a child has passed that height there is no reason to stay off this attraction. Please also remember while it is fun to complain about getting wet, it sure feels good when it is 100 degrees outside.īecause of the type of seating on this ride, there is a height limit requiring that a guest be 42" or taller to get on one of the rafts. The anticipation of getting wet leads to some great conversation. No loud music will interfere with your talking and having a good time with your fellow rafters. Each raft holds eight victims, err, um, riders who don't mind getting soaked if the case may be. Grizzly River Run is an exciting River Rafting attraction with a nice drop at the end which will spin you around so that you could have the opportunity to be thoroughly soaked. Grizzly River Run is the one attraction at the Disneyland Resort that will have long lines in the summer and a guarantee that you will get wet! This is one of the best attractions at Disney's California Adventure and the lines tend to be very long on the hot days.
